Zon Ito, Hiraku Suzuki Drawing and Talk “drawing a book”

Zon Ito is known for his stitch works that seem to illustrate fragmented lines that represent the memories and history of animals, plants, and natural light, which he uses as motifs for his work. Hiraku Suzuki is an artist who continues to expand the field of drawing with works that incorporate fragments of signs that can regularly be found in the city. The two artists had shared the same atelier during their attendance for the residence program of the International Drawing Triennale that was held in Poland in December last year and had occasionally discussed various topics outside their production work time. For this session, the two artists, both of whom have a unique approach in drawing lines, will simultaneously perform drawings while interacting with one another. Their lines will be projected in real time onto a screen that is split to the left and right, creating an imaginary book throughout this session.
